Position: Business Analyst

Location: Winston Salem, NC

Duration: 3+ Months

Job Description: 

Program Details: 

• The program involves multiple Business Intelligence (BI) projects. 
• Each project involves implementing BI tools that cater to the information requirements of the customer organization's various business divisions such as procurement, customer operations, supply chain planning and logistics. 

 

Skill Set:

• Strong understanding of the CPG business processes in one or more areas - New Product Development, Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Marketing, Sales, Consumer Analytics and Compliance/Regulatory needs
• Experience in solving complex business requirements (preferably in Business Intelligence) by designing data models, data processing logic, and user interfaces.
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and analysis.
• Experience in communicating requirements to developers verbally and in the form of written business requirements, user interface specifications, and similar documents.
• Customer interfacing, coordination with multiple vendor teams, status updates 
• Good analytical skills, written & verbal communication skills.
• Experience in complex reporting. Knowledge of data segregation and data visualization 
• Optional: Knowledge in configuration and programming in the BI environment. Awareness about ETL process. 

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Interact with the users to understand their reporting requirements.
• Reverse engineer manually generated excel based reports to understand how they are built and designing BI solutions to automate those manual reports
• Design data marts and ETL processes to load those data marts. Create complex SQL queries to validate the data loaded in the data marts. 
• Communicate the business requirements and data processing logic in technical terms to the ETL developers. 
• Design user interface for reports and explain the report generation logic to the report developers 
• Providing necessary status updates and reports to Wipro and customer management 
• Cross-training on related applications and providing backup support
• Drafting and sending of Weekly Status Reports and other Client Deliverables.
• Creating and maintaining of Project Documents, and Knowledge Base
• Root-cause analysis & fixes for critical and complex issues 
• Participating in audits and providing the necessary support and data
