The good name of our dear leader? And who is 'We?'
Hussein! There are many of us here who sit on the fence. Go on, please. It's a free world. Any bit of history will come in handy in shaping the future of our country.

Juruga, please do us all a favour and stop defending that which can't be defended. I suggest you take G-Okello's advise seriously and let a sleeping dog lie. I know you are asking for what belongs to you and your family, but I do not see any reason why you are dragging the good name of our dear leader Dr. Apollo Milton Obote(RIP) in this minor discussion. I suggest you focus on the mission of getting your late father's property back instead trying to spin and shift blames etc. It is not necessary.Derek.

To: ugandans-at-heart@googlegroups.comHussein,Post " your recollections"? Should we also post ours then?Sent from Gook's iPatch!"What you are we once were, what we are you shall be!"An inscription on the walls of a Roman catacomb.Ha! This would be like Museveni tomorrow saying he had nothing to do with the Monitor and Red Pepper closure yet he let police raid and shut them down for weeks... until they followed him to AU in Addis to ask for forgiveness.Try to ask your self who else stood to benefit from the Kabaka's removal?ALL THE POST-INDEPENDENCE PROBLEMS OF UGANDA CAME FROM ONE PERSON: OBOTE.First dictator of Uganda who suspended all democratic political activities, initiated cronyism and oppressed cultural institutions so as to clearly become THE Ruler of Uganda. If he had maintained a clean democracy, trust me Uganda wouldn't have seen disasters, wars and/or coups.I will soon post my recollections of the last phone call between him in Zambia and Amin in Saudi Arabia for your intellectual consumption. On Sat, Nov 16, 2013 at 3:29 PM, william Ekwelu <williamekwelu@googlemail.com> wrote:Dr. Obote also said this: I regret to say to say that part of Uganda's suffering today can be traced to the opinion I gave Sir Walter. After I had given my advice, Sir Walter told me that an officer like Lt. Idi Amin was not fit to be in the KAR. He said: "I warn you this officer could cause you trouble in the future." Folks;Sounds familiar? Remember Obote's house in Kololo and a certain UPDF colonel? The Amin family is seeking to repossess Amin's properties that have been occupied by the military since 1979, despite assurances by President Museveni 10 years that they would be getting back their houses and land. Here's a response from spokesman, the colorful Tamale Mirundi: "But investigations must first be done to ascertain how and when these properties were acquired because some leaders have a tendency of forcefully taking over property when they get to power."He must be looking in the mirror!Pojim
