KUWAIT, Nov 19 (KUNA) -- The African Union Commission, the Arab League Sectretariat General and Kuwait will follow-up the decisions adopted by the Third Africa-Arab Summit, Chairperson of the AUC Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma said on Tuesday. She said in a press conference that the African Union, the Arab League along with the State of Kuwait and other countries that have contributions, will continue to follow -up decisions of the where Kuwait would be the coordinator. She added that what was announced by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to provide easy loans to African countries over the next five years was highly appreciated, expressing sincere thanks and gratitude to Kuwait on this announcement. She stressed the need to consolidate cooperation between the two sides in the security arena. She pointed out that the African Union Commission has discussed with the Arab League several issues, most notably the promotion of food security, as Africa has a vast territory, expressing eagerness to strengthen cooperation in the food security of the two regions, urging the Arab countries to invest in Africa especially in infrastructure, energy, transport, communications and information. She said the Arab charitable organizations in Africa are active bodies which need to be supported to play a bigger role in the development of the African countries. In response to a question about freezing the activities of Egypt in the African Union, Zuma said that the decisions relating to the suspension of the membership of a country do not fall within the jurisdictions of the Chairperson of the AUC but by the Peace and Security Council, which consists of 15 countries. Haji Katerregga,
Keep a keen eye on those chaps, Kuteesa particularly. I hope they do
not reveal their true colours. They are very well known for their
hooligan and stealing behaviours. You should warn the managers of the
hotels to ensure they do not pack room amenities, including whisky
tots, toilet paper and condoms, into their bags.
